My Home Page Guiding instruction for active learners! I am on my 11th year with Minot Catholic Schools. I started in first grade when Mrs. Pfau retired due to health issues. After two years of first grade I moved up to fourth. For four years I enjoyed teaching about North Dakota studies along with all other required curriculum. When the two elementary schools split, I ended up teaching grades 1, 3, 4, and 5. I often laugh at the fact that the only two grades I haven't taught are Kindergarten and 2nd, which are the two grades I student taught in!! I graduated in 1983 from Valley City State College with a degree in Business Education. In 1994, I returned to Minot State and picked up my elementary degree. I have 2 sons, Troy and Travis Sauber from a previous marriage. Their dad passed away in 1993. I remarried Rick Randall in 1998 and he has 3 sons. Rick and I have enjoyed most sports together with our five sons. Now I enjoy watching my former students as they compete in sports, music, etc. My other enjoyments include visiting with friends and family; drinking diet coke, eating chocolate and curling up in a blanket on a cold or rainy day and watching movies!] I encourage student independence with making choices and accepting responbility of those choices. Love and Logic empowers children to think for themselves and to learn to problem solve. This philosophy strongly represents a W.W.J.D. (What Would Jesus Do) environment!
