ELEMENTARY BULLETINS Minot Catholic Schools www.minotcatholic.org September 2, 2010 NO SCHOOL ON LABOR DAY – School will not be in session on Monday, September 6 in observance of Labor Day. I hope everyone will enjoy the long weekend. STARBASE – Grade 5 students will travel to the Minot Air Force Base for a Starbase class on Tuesday, September 7. MAGAZINE SALE – The annual magazine sale for Minot Catholic Schools starts on Friday, September 3. This is a good time to renew or order magazines and we hope that you will take advantage of this opportunity. We do not expect our pre-school or K-5 students to sell door to door, but there are always, grandparents, family friends etc. that would like to be contacted. Every year people tell us that no one contacted them and they would have ordered. The magazine drive is a big fund raiser for the Minot Catholic Schools and we appreciate your support. There are prizes! OPENINGS – We still have openings in our Pre-School. Please help us spread the word to people you know who may be interested. They are still looking for an assistant cook at Bishop Ryan. Anyone interested should contact Brenda at the Main Office. DRESS CODE CHANGE – We will change our “Jean’s (casual) Day” from Wednesday to Friday for K-Grade 5 students, starting after “Labor Day”. The first Friday of each month is still “Dress Up Day”. We keep a supply of clothing items available for spills and accidents. This also helps keep our students in Dress Code if they forget. Thank you for your cooperation. AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS – The After School Program for Grades K-5 will run each Monday, Tuesday and Thursday after school until 4:00 p.m., starting after Labor Day. Please look for the letter and signup form sent home with each student. Bus service will not be provided for the after school 4:00 p.m. pickup. COMPUTER USE AND MEDIA PERMISSION FORMS – We need each student to have a signed “Computer Use” and “Media” forms on file at the school. They will be sent home with each student and can also be found on the school web page (address on the top). PICTURES – Pictures at Little Flower School will be on Tuesday, September 21 for the Tuesday and Thursday morning and afternoon Pre School Classes. All other classes, Pre-School through Grade 5, will have pictures taken on Wednesday, September 22.
