Little Flower Elementary Grades 3-5 Children in grades 3-5 attend Little Flower School which is staffed by certified and dedicated professionals who integrate standardized curriculum with the religious values of faith to promote academic and spiritual excellence. Science and Math skills are given a great deal of emphasis in our daily instruction. Other services include, band, art, choir, and technology. To meet the needs of all children Title I, Special Services, and Counseling are also offered. Individualized Learning Plans are in place for each student. Learning plans allow for customized education that maximizes each student’s strengths. Educators serve as “TEAM MEMBERS,” utilizing their collective expertise to best tailor learning plans. Investigation Destinations for Expanded Academic Learning (I.D.E.A.L.) is a program which focuses on the following five areas: Math/Science, Technology, Zone Learning, Health, and Field Trips. All children rotate through this program during the regular school day. Students and their parents are welcome to participate in daily Mass prior to the start of school. The priest is sensitive to the needs of children and gears the Mass and sermon to their understanding. Each Wednesday is designated as the Children’s Mass. The children are encouraged early on to participate by singing, praying, and serving at the Mass. It is a wonderful way to start each day. We are strong in academics, and we place Christ at the center of our curriculum. Religion classes and faith-based living are emphasized throughout the day providing a very unique learning environment for our students. Our task is the education of the whole person, blending learning with faith and faith with daily life. Minot Catholic Schools are fully accredited through the state of North Dakota. “A Little Bit Extra,” is a free after-school program that offers homework help and tutoring each Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, 3:00-4:00.
